15Cars submerged in high sea waves caused by typhoon no.12

In Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, 15 road cars, such as police cars and ambulances, submerged in the high waves caused by Typhoon No. 12, and road closure is continuing.

The cars that were still left untouched. At that time, it means that the waves were pushed to a height level above the car on the road. According to the police, a police car who received a report on 28th night found two or more cars stucked at National Highway No. 135. Police officers rescued four people and evacuated them to a hill, where 15 cars, including police cars they were riding, were submerged. According to Kanagawa Prefecture, it was five years ago that this National Highway No. 135 was damaged by typhoon as strong as this. According to them, they assumed that the road is safe because their priority was the safety of those stucked in the typhoon and forgot to notice the  massive high waves that caused the damages.
