Police suspected abuse of rearing about 10 cats in a bad environment in Sapporo City’s housing, the police strengthened the policy of sending the couple in their 40s to the proper investigation of the authorities and if proven guilty will be subjected to due punishment.
According to the police, a couple in their 40’s who live in Sapporo City Higashi-ku is suspected of abusing about 10 or so cats in the state of staying in the southern ward of Sapporo in the southern part of Sapporo City. The police are planning to send documents as soon as possible on 1st of next month on suspicion of violating the animal welfare law. Police department in the vicinity received complaints such as “offensive odor” from the people who lived nearby the place of the couple. In the search of houses last October a carcass of cargo etc was found. The couple is talking to the police investigationwhere in they told the police, “I did not have the money to perform a castration surgery”.
