The Indonesian authorities announced that 1763 deaths were confirmed on the earthquake and tsunami of magnitude 7.5 occurring on Sulawesi island in central Indonesia on 28th last month. There are also information that 5000 people have been missing together in the Putobo district and Bararoa district of Pal city where the devastating damage caused by liquefaction occurred. However, the Indonesian authorities announced that they will stop the search of the victims on the 11th. According to overseas media, the authorities are considering making these areas a mass graveyard, park or sports facility.
