Twelve Filipino basketball teams from Yaizu, Hamamatsu, Gifu, and Aichi attended the opening ceremony of Ai Murakami and AT-1 Basketball League at Iwata City, Shizuoka. Traditionally, the event is held every year.
It started way back eleven years ago with only two Filipino teams playing. This year, over two hundred participants and spectators came to witness the fun and exciting matches.
The opening ceremony had a joyful parade featuring team members with their respective muses. Awards were given by the event organizers, Ms. Marie Nagata of AT-1 Driving School and Ms. Ai Murakami of Super Moon (Grocery Shop), for the Best Team Uniforms and Best Muse of the Year.
There was also the dance performance from teens that caught the attention of everybody with their up beat dance routines. Of course everyone stayed there until the end to watch the exciting initial matches between the SKT Okazaki, Yaizu and Anjo Ballers teams.
