PHILIPPINE CONSULAR OUTREACH EVENT IN NAGOYA

September 16 and 17, 2017

Naka Ward, Nagoya CIty

A two-day Philippine Consular Outreach Event was held last September 16 and 17 at the Aichi International Plaza and at the Kyoikukan in Nagoya City, respectively. Almost every two months, the staff of the Philippine Consulate in Osaka travel to big cities in the Western Region of Japan to set up local venues for renewal of Philippine passports, report for Filipino birth and marriages, and consultations for affidavits and and other legal issues.

Despite the typhoon, people from Nagoya, Gifu, Toyoake, Ichinomiya and from other nearby cities came. During this two-day event at least 500 applicants were were scheduled and served. A key to the success of these consular outreach events in Nagoya is the continuous support of volunteers like the Philippine Society in Japan (in Nagoya) headed by Mr. Nestor Puno.
