ATM: New Generation

Seven Bank has developed a new ATM that can use the face authentication function to open an account, deposit or withdraw money.
The technology implemented in partnership with the Japanese giant NEC, is called biometric reading that enables cameras and sensors to identify people with high accuracy.


There are several types of biometric systems such as voice recognition, iris, veins. The best known being the fingerprint.
The service is unheard of in Japan and will open later this month. From the end of next month, with a smartphone and documents, your identity can be approved by face authentication. Seven Bank plans to replace 25,000 ATMs nationwide gradually by 2024.
