12 OF 14 TOYOTA FACTORIES BACK ONLINE

Toyota Motor Corporation announced today, August 30, that it has resumed production lines at 12 of its 14 vehicle assembly plants, including those in Tokai and Tohoku prefectures, which had been shut down since August 29 due to a system failure related to parts ordering.
The remaining two plants in Kyoto and Fukuoka prefectures will also begin production in the evening or later.
Although the system has not yet been fully restored, an alternative system has been set up to handle the situation. An investigation into the cause of the failure is also underway.
