The United Filipino Community in Higashiura celebrated their 10th Year Anniversary and Christmas Get Together with the participation of local Filipinos, Japanese and other foreign nationals. Approximately 130 people attended the party. The Mayor of the town Mr. Akihiko Kamiya has also been honoring the Philippine celebration,tasting various typical foods.
The event featured musical performances such as a young keyboard player,songs and choreographic numbers featuring Filipino performers from the community. The event was organized by the Filipino Association in Higashiura.
