#1. Museum Meiji-Mura, Inuyama City
This outdoor museum features 67 relocated buildings from the Meiji period (1868-1912). History comes alive as you enjoy roaming around the extensive park at a leisurely pace. The illusion of the past is more complete in the summer, when many visitors dress in summer kimonos.

#2. Handa Canal, Handa City
Breweries lining the canals made sake and vinegar that was sent to the shogun’s capital of Edo (now Tokyo). The area is also famous as yhe filming location of Sugata Sanshiro, directed by Akira Kurosawa.
