CORONAVIRUS MORTALITY DATA FROM CHINA AS OF FEBRUARY 11, 2020
Detailed data on 44,500 people infected with the new coronavirus in China was released, and the overall rate of death was 2.3%. However the following interesting data emerged:
●old people 80s above, rate of death is 14.8%
●people with chronic disease such as cardiovascular disease, rate of death is 10.5%
●those infected with the virus, 80.9% were mild, 13.8% were severe (pneumonia and difficulty in breathing), 4.7% were severely life-threatening
●looking at the age group death rate:
age 40s and below: 0.4%
age 50s: 1.3%
age 60s: 3.6%
age 70s: 8%
age 80s: 14.8%
