Drill for Virus Vaccination performed in Kawasaki
In a nursing school gym in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, the health ministry performed mock inoculations on Wednesday.
For mock injections, nurses led yellow-vest clad volunteers into booths and then left them for 30 minutes to search for allergic reactions in a waiting room.
According to officials, with five nurses, the facility could deal with about 30 patients every hour and would open and close depending on vaccine supplies.
Kawasaki Mayor Norihiko Fukuda told reporters, “I hope this drill can serve as an example that can be used or adapted elsewhere around the country.”
