Fire at karaage shop destroys nine buildings in Shizuoka

A fire at a takeout karaage specialty shop in Shizuoka resulted in the total and partial destruction of nine buildings on Sunday morning (02). No injuries were reported.
The fire started around 7 a.m. at a prepared food store in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka, and took about seven hours to be completely extinguished. In addition to the shop, two neighboring buildings were completely destroyed, while six nearby residences suffered partial damage.
At the time of the fire, no one was inside the establishment, as employees had left after preparing fried foods. The police are investigating the possibility that the fire was caused by negligence.
