GODZILLA MODEL IN HIROSHIMA

A 2.3-meter tall Godzilla model, one of only five in Japan, is on display at the downstairs store of the Ohama Parking Area (PA) on the Setouchi-Shimanami Kaido (West Seto Expressway) in the town of Ohama, Innoshima, Onomichi City, attracting attention from users and fans.

The model is based on Godzilla from the latest movie in the series, “Godzilla-1.0 (minus one),” and was created by Toho, the production company. According to Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway and others, the exhibition was made possible through a connection with a company in Onomichi City that sells food products with “monster” product names at this store.

The exhibition will run until December 10. Visitors can see the exhibit from 8:00 a.m. (7:30 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) to 7:30 p.m. when the store is open. It is connected to the uphill PA by a pedestrian bridge.
