Sa Japan, there are three types of public insurance na sinisikap pang mapalawig sa paglipas ng panahon.
Types of Health Insurance in Japan
Below are the different types of Japanese Health Insurance that has made the healthcare services of this country to become more comprehensive and beneficial at the same time. These are the following:
- Shakai Hoken – This is known in English as the Employer’s Health and Pension Insurance. It is comprised of both a health insurance as well as a pension-like benefit insurance.
- Kokumin Kenko Hoken – It is the Japanese name for National Health Insurance or NHI. Ito ay isang insurance scheme para sa mga sumusunod – self- employed and the unemployed as well. As far as its availability is to be regarded, this is available in your nearest local city office or ward. Everyone who wishes to avail of this insurance must be enrolled.
- Shigaku Kyosai – The Private Schools Mutual Aid Society Insurance. This much similar to a shakai hoken type of insurance. However, the only difference is that this is especially meant for those people who are serving universities and private schools
