“HI-CHEW” SOFT CANDY IN ENGLISH

The logo of “Hi-Chew”, a popular soft candy in Japan, will be changed from katakana to English from the middle of this month.

Morinaga Seika Co., Ltd. has announced that it will change the logo from katakana to English for all “Hi-Chew” soft candy products currently on the market.

According to Morinaga Seika, “Hi-Chew” is sold in more than 30 countries around the world, including the United States, and by unifying the brand logo in English, the company hopes to make it a familiar global brand.

Last summer, “Fantasy Mix Flavor,” a reimported version of a popular U.S. product, was sold in English for a limited time, and was so popular that the company decided to switch to English for all varieties.
