There was an earthquake of intensity less than 5 in northeastern part of Chiba prefecture. There is no worry about the tsunami.
According to the Meteorological Agency, there was an earthquake with a maximum seismic intensity of less than 5 with the seismic offshore of Chiba Prefecture around 8:23 pm on July 7. There is no worry about the tsunami caused by this earthquake. It was Chunan-cho, Chiba prefecture that observed a seismic intensity of less than 5. The seismic intensity 4 is Chiba City, Tateyama City of Chiba Prefecture, Kisarazu City of Chiba Prefecture etc. We also observed seismic intensity 3 in Kanto, Yamanashi, Shizuoka, such as Tokyo and Kanagawa. Tokaido Shinkansen stopped driving with a part of the train on the up and down line between Tokyo and Shinfuji station, but resumed operation at 8:34 pm after about 10 minutes.
