INTERNATIONAL: Nawawalang Titan Sub, Dumanas ng ‘Catastrophic Implosion’
Ang nawawalang tourist submersible na patungo sa Titanic wreckage site ay dumanas ng “catastrophic implosion” sa kailaliman ng karagatan, sinabi ng US Coast Guard noong Huwebes, na nagtapos sa kalunos-lunos na paghahanap sa limang tao on board.
Natagpuan ng isang remotely operated vehicle ang tail cone ng Titan submersible sa seafloor humigit-kumulang 1,600 feet (488 metro) mula sa bow ng Titanic, sinabi ng Coast Guard Rear Adm. John Mauger sa mga mamamahayag sa Boston, Massachusetts.
Ang mga karagdagang debris na natuklasan malapit sa site ay “consistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber,” aniya.
“Upon this determination, we immediately notified the families on behalf of the United States Coast Guard and the entire unified command. I offer my deepest condolences to the families,” sabi ni Mauger.

‘Sadly Been Lost’
