In Tottori Prefecture, where a special warning for heavy rain was temporarily issued due to Typhoon No. 7, about 1,800 people have been isolated by landslides. Water has been cut off in some areas.
Tottori Prefecture Governor Shinji Hirai: “We are now unfortunately at the timing of a once-in-a-decade disaster. Action to save lives is crucial right now.”
According to Tottori City, National Route 482 and other roads have been closed due to landslides, and 835 households and 1,789 people are isolated in 22 villages, including Saji Town.
