Japanese government approves bill renewing yen banknotes.
It will be officially announced today by Finance Minister Taro Aso, 15 years after the last change.
See who will illustrate the new money bills:

¥ 10,000

Eiichi Shibusawa (1840-1931)
Entrepreneur known as “Father of Japanese Capitalism,” founder of First National Bank and the Tokyo Stock Exchange

¥ 5,000

Tsuda Umeko (1864-1929)
Christian educator, a pioneer in women’s education in the Meiji era, and also for  incentive Western culture

¥ 1,000

Kitasato Saburo (1853-1931)
Bacteriologist was co-author on the discovery of the infectious agent of bubonic plague in Hong Kong in 1894
