According to an interview with a foreign technical trainee from Vietnam, Ms. Do Thi Fon:
“We evacuated on January 1. Because sometimes tremors happen, we can’t go back to the dormitory.
I saw the tsunami. I thought I would die.
We rode in the car of some Japanese stranger to the evacuation center.”
