To accommodate passengers traveling from the metro back to their home provinces for Election 2019, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has lifted the number coding scheme for provincial buses from May 10 to 14.
MMDA traffic chief Bong Nebrija said that the number coding scheme has been suspended in lieu of the May 13 midterm elections.
Meanwhile, the number coding scheme is lifted on weekends and on election day itself for private vehicles. Election day, which is on May 13, has been announced as a regular holiday.
