RESCUE OF REMAINING STUDENT IN NORTHERN ALPS

Nagano Prefectural Police have rescued a 23-year-old male university student who had gone missing while climbing Northern Alps Mt. Mitsumatarenge .

The missing person is a 23-year-old male university student from Inagi City, Tokyo.

He and a 26-year-old self-employed man from Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, entered the mountain on October 18th, and it is believed that they had planned to spend one night and two days climbing Mt.

The police began searching for him on the 21st and again early yesterday morning, both by ground and helicopter, and found that the self-employed man had descended the mountain by himself last night.

The police resumed the search for the male university student this morning, and it is believed that he was found and rescued recently.

The huts in the area have already closed for the season, and it is believed that the two men were equipped to stay in tents, but a search on the 22nd revealed snow up to their ankles in some places.
