SEXUAL ASSAULT: Filipino man arrested
A Filipino man was arrested for sexually assaulting and injuring a woman in her 20s in a parking lot in the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture.
The man, 31, a Filipino national and a temporary staffing agency worker living in Fuji Village, Mishima City, was arrested on suspicion of inflicting injury through non consensual sexual intercourse. According to the police, the man is suspected of sexually assaulting and injuring a woman in her 20s in a car in a parking lot in the western part of the prefecture in mid-July this year. The woman suffered minor subcutaneous bleeding.
According to the police, the man and the woman were acquaintances and were initially drinking in a group of several people. The man denied the charges.
