TOYOTA LANDCRUISER AND HIACE SHIPMENT SUSPENDED

Toyota Industries Corporation (TIA), a member of the Toyota Motor Corporation Group, announced on April 29 the results of an investigation into the illegal emissions testing of forklift engines and the discovery of new violations of the law in the output tests of three diesel engine models for automobiles.
The number of models found to be in violation of the law for forklift trucks and construction equipment has increased from four to 11.
Toyota announced that it would suspend shipments of 10 models including the “Land Cruiser” and “Hiace” that are equipped with the affected engines.
