Time for Christmas Holiday Cocktails!

Well, you can always have fun with just some few pints of beer in your fridge and glass of Champagne and shots of tequila. But Christmas festivity will always be more entertaining with cocktails like Christmas cosmos, peppermint martinis and holiday mimosas. Keep your guests cozy and warm with these Christmas season party drink picks!

 

#1. Cranberry Martini

“I had this cranberry martini recipe at a holiday party and everyone loved it. The cranberry juice mixes nicely with the liquor. It’s a perfect smooth drink.”

 

Ingredients:

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) Jigger vodka

1/2 fluid ounce orange liqueur

1/2 fluid ounce dry vermouth

2 (1.5 fluid ounce) Jiggers cranberry juice

1 cup ice

Cranberries

Instruction: Combine vodka, orange liqueur, vermouth, cranberry juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously to chill. Pour into martini glasses, and serve. Garnish with cranberries.

 

#2. Poinsettias

“This is a nice holiday cocktail. We always serve this at our Christmas Eve open house. It has such a nice taste!!”

 

Ingredients:

4 ounces Brut Champagne

1 1/2 tablespoons cranberry juice

 

Instructions: Pour champagne into a champagne flute, and top with cranberry juice.

 

#3.  Candy Cane Drinks

Ingredients:

16 fluid ounces peppermint schnapps

16 fluid ounces white creme de cacao

2 quarts half-and-half

1 splash grenadine syrup

16 small candy canes

 

Instructions: Mix schnapps, creme de cacao, half-and-half, and grenadine together in a pitcher; refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour. Stir mixture before pouring into martini glasses to serve; garnish each glass with a candy cane.

 

#4. Rudolp-Tini

“Cinnamon sticks and a cherry are used as the antlers and reindeer nose on the edge of the glass for garnish!”

 

Ingredients:

2 fluid ounces vodka

1 fluid ounce hazelnut liqueur (Frangelico)

1 fluid ounce coconut flavored rum

1 fluid half-and-half cream

2 (4 inch) cinnamon sticks

1 maraschino cherry

 

Instructions: Pour the vodka, hazelnut liqueur, rum, and half-and-half into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover, and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into a chilled martini glass; garnish with the cinnamon sticks to look like antlers, and the cherry on the rim to look like a nose.

 

#5. Nogtini

“New traditional holiday drink. An eggnog martini. May substitute amaretto or Southern Comfort® for the Kahlua®.”

 

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon chocolate syrup

1 cup ice, or as needed

4 fluid ounces eggnog

2 fluid ounces coffee flavored liqueur (Kahlua)

2 fluid ounces vodka

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon whipped cream, or to taste

1 pinch ground nutmeg

 

Instructions: Swirl chocolate syrup around in a martini glass. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour eggnog, coffee-flavored liqueur, vodka, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg over ice; cover and shake. Strain mixture into prepared martini glass; garnish with whipped cream and 1 pinch nutmeg.

 

#6. Snowflake Cocktail

“This is one of my favorite holiday cocktails to serve at parties. It’s smooth and creamy and has all the flavors of Christmas. Always a hit!”

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup ice cubes, or as needed

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger spiced rum

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger hazelnut liqueur (Frangelico)

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger butterscotch schnapps

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger vanilla flavored vodka

1 tablespoon half-and-half, or to taste

1 pinch round cinnamon, or to taste

1 pinch ground nutmeg, or to taste

 

Instructions: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice; add rum, hazelnut liqueur, butterscotch schnapps, vanilla-flavored vodka, half-and-half, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cover shaker, shake, and strain drink into a martini glass.
