Drive Safely on Winter Roads!

With the increase in the number of tourists during the major holidays due to the Chinese New Year “Spring Festival,” on February 17, the police at Kushiro Airport called for prevention of traffic accidents to foreigners using rental cars.

Many tourists from China, Taiwan, and other countries are visiting Kushiro Airport to rent cars for the “Chinese New Year” holiday.

In this situation, the police showed a video and called for safe driving on winter roads to foreign tourists who are not familiar with Japanese roads and signs to be careful of traffic accidents.

According to the police, the number of traffic accidents caused by foreigners driving rental cars in Hokkaido last year was 39, which is about three times more than the number in 2022.
