It’s one heck of a year for Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos.
From being local chief executive, the Ilocano politiko is now a senator of the Philippines.
Marcos was proclaimed by the Commission on Elections on Wednesday, May 22, after she placed 8th and got a total of 15,882,628 votes.
Joining her during her proclamation were her mother and Ilocos Norte 2nd District Representative Imelda Marcos, her siblings Irene Marcos-Araneta and former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr, her sons Borgy and Mike, and the latter’s wife Carla Maglapus-Manotoc and daughter Mia.
