Physical and Mental Health Consultations for Foreign Residents

外国人の「心」と「からだ」健康相談会

 

This comprehensive consultation session, held in conjunction with related specialist medical organizations, aims to help resident foreign nationals who might be hindered by differences in language and customs to feel at ease about their health, through early detection of illness, prevention, and providing information about the medical treatment system.

Childminding will be available for those with young children, and interpreting support in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Filipino, and Vietnamese will also be available.

Organized by Nagoya City Health and Welfare Bureau, Nagoya International Center, and Medical Information Center Aichi, there will be free health consultations, tuberculosis testing, consultations with a midwife, peer support for developmental disorders (in Portuguese; please reserve an interpreter in advance if required) and a corner with information on the Long-Term Care Insurance and National Health Insurance systems, as well as the “One Coin” Cancer Examination and HIV test.
