TECHNOLOGY: TOYOTA & SOFTBANK
Akio Toyoda (CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation) and Masayoshi Son (CEO SoftBank Group Corp.) establish a strategic alliance to develop a joint venture naming it MONET Technologies.
Softbank enters with its knowledge in the area of AI (Artificial Intelligence) joining the electric car of Toyota envisioning the creation of a new generation of robotic vehicles (Car, without driver).
During the press conference, the two leaders said that the union is the result of an old dating and give practical examples of the use of the new generation of “robot-cars” in a Japanese society, formed by senior citizens.
PRACTICAL USE
The new company estimates that by the year 2025 it could launch a robotic car capable of transporting a patient from his or her residence to the hospital and during the course, be able to provide clinical examinations.
Or a meal delivery service where the dish would be prepared during on their way to the delivery and even a travelling convenience store
