As of Nov. 3,2021: Tokyo Reports 25 Coronavirus Cases; Nationwide Tally 265
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government confirmed 25 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday.
It is the 18th straight day for the daily count of new infections in the capital to remain below 50.
Wednesday’s tally is 11 fewer than a week ago.
The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo is 14, unchanged from Tuesday, health officials said. The nationwide figure was 115, down five from Tuesday.
Nationwide, the number of reported cases was 265. Osaka had the most cases with 53, followed by Tokyo, Hyogo (25), Aichi (22), Gifu (18), Chiba (13), Hokkaido (13), and Okayama (12).
The number of coronavirus-related deaths was eight.
