A free cafe is opened in the evacuation center of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, and it is a place for relaxation of the affected residents.
Mr. Kayano (45) of Okayama City who opened a cafe rescued 12 people, who had escaped by kayaks brought in on Monday, when Kurashiki Mamoru Town was flooded. After that, I continued the restoration work with volunteers, and on 1st of this month I started a free cafe in a part of the school which serves as a temporary shelter.

Meanwhile, for the victims who went to clean up their homes and work, NPO corporations began to take care of their pets in Mami-cho.
According to the person who entrusted the pet: “I’m thankful that there is such a facility because the cat cannot be kept because I live with my friend’s house because my home is completely destroyed.”
