Like in the world they live in, fashion designers are vulnerable to change. If they cannot catch up or create trends, they will fade into oblivion. This is why many fashion designers are always on the lookout not only for fads, craze, and trends but also on emerging fashion designers to see if the new ones are a threat to their existence. People are also looking for new designers in search for something more unique in terms of fashion.
The fashion world is always on the lookout for the future Issey Miyake or Rei Kawakubo. Tokyo is a very fertile ground when it comes to emerging Japanese international designers. And here comes Kunihiko Morinaga, who became known to stage very out of this world fashion shows in Japan. For example, during one edition of the Japan fashion week, he presented a collection which was inspired by technology. Fashion watchers were treated to a bevy of models donning mechanical hemlines, blown-up 3D pixels, and ultra-violet lighted cage structures. Through his brand called Anrealage, Morinaga felt very confident that he can conquer international fashion and decided to enter the 2015 Paris Fashion Week (PFW).
And again, he outdid himself as his collection in the PFW title season showed clothes constructed with wires that expand when exposed to spotlight and shrink when it shown in a cooler background. The entire collection he showed in Paris, used Outlast, a heat regulating clothing material which are known to be used by NASA. Aside from Anrealage, he also launched Anseason, which is a clothing line that uses the latest evolution of technologies in the past like advanced laser cutting, thermal colors, 3D pattern, and wire pulley technology for size alteration.
With these ideas, it is no longer surprising that Kunihiko Morinaga will soon definitely rank up there as one of the world’s top famous fashion designers.
