Heavy clouds brought heavy rains in the Kumamoto region, overflowing rivers and flooding avenues. Submerged cars were caught by surprise with the rapid ascent of the water level. Three years ago, the city of Mashiki, in Kumamoto was victim of strong tremors, was also covered by the turbid waters. The drainage system of the city did not take account and the water level exceeded the mark of 1 meter in some points.
