The researchers had successfully performed a “Uterine Transplant” on monkeys at Keiko University. The said treatment aims to enable gestation in humans to prevent infertility problems. The treatment has benefits to women with Rokitansky’s Syndrome, this are those who were born without uterus with a ratio of 1 person every 4 to 5 thousand people.
At present, Japan estimated that 60,000 to 70,000 between 20 and 30 ages are suffering from fertility problems. While in other ocountries, there have been 50 uterine transplants with 13 cases of gestation and delivery.
