TEENAGE TECHNICAL TRAINEE ACCIDENT
A male teenage technical intern trainee was caught between a fallen steel frame and the floor. The man suffered serious injuries, breaking a bone in his right leg.
The man sustained a serious injury, breaking his right leg, and is a teenage technical intern trainee of foreign nationality.
According to the Himi Police Station, at around 9:10 a.m. on the 16th, a construction company in the city, Washitek, called 119 to report that a steel frame had fallen and temporarily caught the man’s leg.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he sustained serious injuries, breaking bones in his right leg. The “I”-shaped steel frame that fell was 11.7 meters long, 70 centimeters wide, and 60 centimeters high, and is used as a framework for buildings such as factories.
The man was placing the steel frame in a storage area using a crane with two chains, and was winding up the chains to move on to other work when the hook of the crane caught on the steel frame, lifted it up, and caused it to fall, pinning his leg between the floor and the crane.
The police are investigating the detailed cause of the accident.
