TWITTER/”X” users will be charged a small fee

Elon Musk, owner of the former Twitter “X,” the American social media giant, has announced his intention to require all X users to pay a small fee in order to eliminate the large number of “bots” that automatically and mechanically post messages.

This was revealed by Elon Musk during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is visiting the US to attend the UN General Assembly.

X currently offers an $8/month paid service that allows users to have their accounts verified and to make long-form posts, but Mr. Musk said that a small fee structure would be applied to all users.
Specific amounts have not been disclosed.

As for the reason for the change, Mask said it is “the only way I can think of to combat the large number of bots,” among other things, and explained that it is to eliminate the large number of “bots” that post automatically and mechanically.
