US CONDEMNS N-KOREAN LAUNCH

Washington, D.C. – On April 21, the U.S. government issued a statement strongly condemning the launch of a “satellite” by North Korea.

At the same time, it stressed that it would “take all necessary measures” to defend not only the U.S. mainland but also its allies Japan and South Korea.

In a statement, National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson Watson pointed out that the “satellite” was using intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) technology and criticized it as “a clear violation of multiple UN Security Council resolutions. It “risks raising tensions and destabilizing the security situation in the region and beyond.”
